In celebration of Tennessee Craft Week, Shuptrine’s is offering a week of Gold Leaf and Restorations! We have 2 days of events listed below. Come and join us for this hands-on, handcrafted event!
October 2-11, 2020 is Tennessee Craft Week, sponsored by Tennessee Craft and is a collection of craft events and happenings across the state each October. The purpose is to connect and celebrate craft artists, the work they create and the businesses that support them.
Join us at Shuptrine’s Gallery for a Week of Gold Leaf and Restoration with master craftsman and gilder, Alan Shuptrine! 3 different events to attend! All events are FREE and hosted at Shuptrine’s Gallery, located at 2613 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37408
October 6th – 8th, Tennessee Craft Week Events at Shuptrine’s Gallery!
Tuesday, October 6th, 12:00 pm- 1:00pm: Alan will provide a carving demonstration and a demonstration of the methods of water gilding and will allow viewers to enjoy a hands-on opportunity to experience this lost art! Please call ahead to reserve a spot in order to maintain social distancing!
Wednesday, October 7th, Open House, 10-4pm, An Open House featuring works by Vickie Jourdan, Alan Shuptrine, Robert Calcagno, Karen Brown, and other fine American artists.

Come celebrate the beautiful North Carolina mountains with renowned artist, Alan Shuptrine. For those who have ever been intimidated by watercolor, this four hour workshop will guide students through the techniques of watercolor as they develop their paintings. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to have personal one-on-one instruction from a nationally recognized watercolor realist. Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate. Cost is $175 per person and spots are limited! The workshop will be held at the Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park. GENERATIONS SHUPTRINE features the works of renown artist Hubert Shuptrine, acclaimed water color artist Alan Shuptrine and introduces sculpture artist Ben Shuptrine. Showcasing three generations of creative work, GENERATIONS SHUPTRINE celebrates each artist’s deep connection with his environment telling a story of his passion from within.
