Lunch & learn series at the Tennessee State Museum

Join us this Thursday, June 22, at 12:15 p.m. for a lecture with Alan Shuptrine who will speak about his exhibit “Appalachian Watercolors of the Serpentine Chain.” Shuptrine, nationally recognized for his paintings, will talk about his creative process for this body of work that celebrates the connections of our Appalachian mountains, and their historical and cultural counterparts in the British Isles. “This journey highlights Celtic traditions that were brought to America in the 18th century, and are still being practiced today,” Shuptrine remarked.

Centennial Club

On March 23rd, Alan Shuptrine spoke to the Centennial Club in Nashville, Tennessee.  It was a beautiful event focusing on Alan’s upcoming ecxhibtion at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville.  Thank you Sheila Akin and ladies for such a gracious event!
