Ben Shuptrine is passionate about developing various art styles that evoke the beauty of life. His curious nature allows him to experiment with a number of different mediums, thus allowing him to express a multitude of ideas to the viewer.
“Imagery travels through my head and materializes onto paper, copper panel, wood, or gilded panel. I am inspired by nature, the world around us, and how we fit into the ecosystem”
– Ben Shuptrine
He is the son of a nationally awarded artist-Alan Shuptrine-and the grandson of nationally acclaimed artist, Hubert Shuptrine (1936-2006). He has studied, experimented, and apprenticed with watercolor, oil, gold leaf, metals, wood, and many other mediums. Coming from a family of artists, he was taught from day one to look at the world through color, shadow, light, and dark.
He plans to follow in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps; but also, Ben wants to pave a new road of art for myself. He also enjoys working in the art of film and digital imagery, especially with video cameras and Go Pros. An avid athlete in numerous sports, Ben is also interested in sports branding, marketing, and logo design.
