Established in 2001, Shuptrine’s Gallery specializes in 19th-century through contemporary American and European art. International in scope, its inventory incorporates museum-quality works that primarily emphasize the painting and printmaking traditions. In the interest of advancing and supporting community artists, Shuptrine’s Gallery also represents a number of significant local and regional artists working in a variety of media. Housed in the historic South Broad Street Design District in Chattanooga area near Lookout Mountain, the gallery is open by appointment.

Shuptrine’s Gallery is an important source for private collectors and also works extensively with museum curators and art consultants. The gallery has placed more than 50 works in private client, corporate, and  museum collections to date. Their gallery artists , specifically nationally awarded artists Alan Shuptrine, Hubert Shuptrine (1936-2006) Stephen Scott Young, Evan Wilson, and Wayne Wu, have been included in major exhibitions.

Owner Bonny Shuptrine, brings more than 20  years’ experience in corporate consulting, advising, and working in fine art appraisals.  She is available for insurance appraisals, absence bidding for clients, and collections consultation for families and corporations.  Her husband, and owner Alan Shuptrine, is known for his detailed and fine works on paper and canvas, historically accurate fine one-of-a-kind fine framing, gold leaf restorations, and preservation, restoration, and conservation.
